Policymakers and other experts have called for states to be laboratories of innovation to reduce health care costs, particularly in consolidated markets. While many states are keen to try, there is no playbook for how to do that, leaving many questions about what works, what doesn’t, and what the unintended consequences might be. Join Penn LDI as a panel of experts explores what states are doing and what might be possible to rein in health care costs.

Racism is a root cause of health disparities, generating and maintaining inequities in health and health care. This seminar will explore current research on structural racism, focusing the discussion on how research on structural racism can be leveraged to advance health equity. This panel will highlight researchers from the October 2023 issue of Health Affairs devoted to structural racism.
