The late editor of Health Management Policy and Innovation (www.HMPI.org), Will Mitchell was a strategic management expert and a beloved professor and mentor who was passionate about innovative health management ideas. This contest honors his vision and legacy.
Contest Overview
Topic: “AI in Healthcare,” the theme of HMPI’s June 2026 issue
Eligibility: Students enrolled in BAHM-member health management MBA, or equivalent, programs
Submissions: One original essay per program, submitted by the BAHM program representative
Key Dates
Feb 12: Entry deadline for each program submission
April 9: HMPI Editors select winning essays (1st, 2nd, 3rd), other publishable essays
April 16: Winners announced; editors review winning essays, provide comments
June: Publication in HMPI
