Pratap Kumar is a senior lecturer in healthcare management at Strathmore University Business School. He is a clinician, neuroscientist, health economist and social entrepreneur working at the interface of health sciences and healthcare markets. His work focuses on combining innovations in mobile technologies, clinical processes and business models for healthcare delivery in low-resource settings. He holds patents on technologies for medical documentation, and has successfully implemented digital technologies for healthcare improvement in some of the most remote and challenging regions of the world. He is currently the PI of an NIH grant exploring innovative approaches to improve access to safe blood in Africa.
