Addressing Social Needs to Improve Health

March 5, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

A Virtual Conversation with Jorge Delva, PhD, MSW, Caroline Fichtenberg, PhD, and Kathleen Noonan, JD, moderated by Rachel Werner, MD, PhD.

The pandemic has highlighted the importance of social determinants of health and the health effects of unmet social needs. But the best ways to address those needs is far from clear. What is the appropriate role of health care providers in filling social service gaps, and what kinds of interventions hold the most promise for improving health and wellbeing? Join our panel as we explore community-based approaches that target social needs to more effectively promote health and health equity.

Co-sponsored by PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
