INCAE Business School has become the latest top-ranked business program to join the Business School Alliance for Health Management (BAHM), an international organization focused on advancing thought leadership in the business of healthcare in the United States and across the global health sector.

“We are pleased to welcome INCAE as the newest member of BAHM, a growing organization committed to innovating healthcare in the U.S. and globally at a time when quality, affordable care is at the forefront of pivotal policy debates,” said Kevin A. Schulman, BAHM’s board president and a professor of medicine and economics at Stanford University.

BAHM supports business school health management programs to promote education, scholarship and innovation in the field. Among other initiatives, BAHM fosters research collaborations and publishes Health Management, Policy & Innovation (HMPI), an online journal illuminating topical U.S. and global health sector issues.

“Joining BAHM offers numerous opportunities for us to grow our research and educational partnerships in the United States and around the world and to continue supporting the health systems in Latin America,” said Andrea Prado, professor of management at INCAE Business School and former academic director of the Central American Healthcare Initiative (CAHI).

Founded 50 years ago by Harvard Business School, a BAHM member, the Costa Rica-based INCAE has been ranked by the Financial Times as a top global MBA program, and by The Wall Street Journal as one of the world’s top 10 international business schools. In recent years, INCAE has been growing health management education and research to promote quality healthcare delivery in Latin America.

INCAE offers executive programs in healthcare management, hospital management, and innovation in global health. In partnership with the Central American Healthcare Initiative (CAHI), a U.S.-based nonprofit, INCAE offers a custom-designed executive education diploma program for multidisciplinary health professionals. This year, INCAE debuted the Global Health Innovation Management program for senior executives, a partnership with IESE Business School, another BAHM member, and ISG Global in Barcelona, Heidelberg University in Germany, and Strathmore Business School in Kenya.
