Teams from Georgia State University, University of Colorado Denver, Questrom School of Business, Boston University, UMN Carlson School of Management, Indian School of Business, and the University of Miami Herbert Business School, were challenged to design scalable business models, products, and go-to-market strategies to make medical pricing more easily available to consumers. Solutions had to tackle behavioral, technical, and economic barriers—while demonstrating a path to reaching millions of users.
Judges scored the students’ work, and the four top scoring teams won cash prizes.
Prior to the competition, participants had the opportunity to engage directly with experts shaping U.S. health policy, including visits with representatives from:
- U.S. Congress (Energy & Commerce Committee)
- White House Council of Economic Advisers
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Department of Health and Human Services
- PhRMA.org
Thank you to host and organizer Stephen T. Parente, judges Adam Atherly, Blanca Baez, John Barkett, Paul Fronstin, Bryana M., and Magda Rosenmöller, and Morning Consult for the use of their space.
